What started as the coaching staff asking if we could incorporate the beach this year, became amusical-theatre style journey through iconic spots in Los Angeles. From the beach to downtown, to the Hollywood sign all the way to Pauley Pavilion, the goal was to showcase the athletes and hype up the crowd, while also showing off the unique draw of college gymnastics in LA.

In just a day and a half, we shot at 8 locations, with 20 athletes, with a crew of just 4 of us. As someone that typically focuses on documentary / branded doc work, this was the first time I’d ever created and executed a narrative concept — and it was a blast. This is a testament to the magic that happens when a group of creatives gets to just run wild!
